PILLAR Performance (or 'PILLAR' for short) is an Australian nutraceutical start-up, launched in July 2021 with a range of globally leading micronutrition products targeted at athletic performance. 


At PILLAR we innovate products that bridge the gap between pharmaceutical intervention and sports supplements. Since launch into the market in June 2021, PILLAR products are now used by over 75 professional sporting franchises, Olympic programs, World Tour cyclists and an ever growing number of elite endurance athletes globally. The products are sold via omnichannel strategy of D2C, direct specialty sports retail and distribution agreements in 14 regions.

The business is funded and backed by leading Aussie and US consumer VCs and angels who have had success across household brand names within the consumer and performance sectors including; Athletic Greens (AG1), WHOOP, Maurten and Swisse.

About this Role

Are you a community-builder motivated by creating impactful moments and relations in the world of endurance sport? We are looking for a dedicated Marketing Activation Manager to join our expansion team in DACH.

This role will work with our global marketing and sales teams but work as a key function of our European team based in Germany and Czech Republic.

As our Marketing Activation Manager your primary focus will be building our community through activating key retail, event and community partnerships.

What our Marketing Activation Manager does: 

  • Facilitating retail activations with selected retailers in key cities. 
  • Coordinating a highly detailed event calendar, including events attended by distributor markets. 
  • Identifying brand activation concepts that align branding direction.
  • Working with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of brand programs and initiatives.
  • Developing close relationships with other brands and individuals within target verticals.Creating and executing the DACH activation plan
  • Formulating and executing activation strategies for major events and teams with a commercial mindset.
  • Grow and manage our EU brand ambassador network in collaboration with the Head Office. 
  • Establishing the PILLAR community in pivotal cities through run, rides, events, and ambassador engagement.
  • Be able to assist and conduct product training sessions. 
  • Work together with creative to produce seasonal sales tools (training manuals, PR, etc). 


What are we looking for in our Marketing Activation Manager:

The ideal candidate is working in marketing within the endurance industry and is an outgoing person with strong networking and relationship-building skills. You enjoy working proactively, possess a strong commercial mindset, and have a strong and structured work ethic.

You are a self-driven individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, recognising the potential in owning and developing our marketing activation both in the short term and long term. Your passion for marketing, especially in the context of endurance sports verticals, is complemented by your commitment to being organised and thorough.

  • Show passion and knowledge of the endurance industry, especially in triathlon, cycling, and running.
  • A full life outside of work with personal passions and hobbies!
  • Someone who sees themselves as highly organised.
  • An energetic, passionate go-getter who can keep up with our growth.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
  • Willingness to work on weekends and after hours as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication (both in english and german), and organizational skills.
  • Ability to review campaigns and provide analytical recommendations.
  • Someone who takes extreme ownership in what they do, learning from their mistakes and holding themselves accountable. 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a consistent “can-do” attitude.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Europe for key events.

 

Your First 90 Days

What success looks like over your first 90 days

  1. Gather a deep understanding of the PILLAR brand and our vision. This will include attending events to gain first-hand experience of our customers, processes and brand identity.
  2. Work with the marketing and sales teams to establish planning, booking and tracking processes for events and activations.
